It’s official: Professional Photographer is among the best

Professional Photographer, the member magazine of Professional Photographers of America for more than a century, has been named a finalist for six publishing excellence awards.

Each year, the Folio Awards provide an opportunity for publications to showcase their best editorial and design. For 2016, Professional Photographer is a finalist for:

  • Full issue, July 2015
  • Series of articles for “On the Cover”
  • Feature design for “Rock On,” May 2016
  • Table of Contents design
  • Use of Illustration for “Copywrongs,” December 2015
  • Website content for ppmag.com

Folio, a magazine for the publishing industry, annually honors the best in gorgeous design and uncompromising journalism for association, consumer, and business magazines.

Jane Gaboury, PPA director of publications, says she’s delighted with Professional Photographer’s showing this year: “It’s an honor to be in the company of such exemplary publications as Harvard Business Review, Consumer Reports, and Oprah Magazine. We have a terrific magazine because of the generosity of our members in sharing expertise with their peers. They have much to be proud of in this accomplishment.”

Winners and honorable mentions will be announced Oct. 31 at a ceremony in New York City.
