New and Upcoming Books Cover Adobe CS3 and Lightroom for Photographers

Press Release—Publishers O'Reilly, Peachpit, and Wiley have announced a slew of current and upcoming titles and free educational resources related to Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Lightroom.

200704we_bookslraaland_2 O'Reilly will release Mikkel Aaland's "Photoshop Lightroom Adventure" in early June.  The book is subtitled "Mastering Adobe's next-generation tool for digital photographers. We'll post an excerpt here in Web Exclusives.

O'Reilly's Dynamic Learning Series has five titles for Adobe CS3 applications: "Learning Photoshop CS3," "Learning Dreamweaver CS3," "Learning Illustrator CS3," "Learning Flash CS3," and "Learning InDesign CS3." Each book comes with a DVD with video tutorials, lesson files and review questions. Free PDF Instructor Guides are available for download.

Upcoming releases include Deke McClelland's "Photoshop CS3 One-on-One" and "Eddie Tapp on Digital Photography: Controlling Color and Tone in Photoshop" in June.

200704we_bookslrevening New book releases from Peachpit Press include "The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers," by Scott Kelby, $39.99; and "The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Book: The Complete Guide for Photographers," by Martin Evening, $40.00.

Upcoming releases include "Adobe  Photoshop CS3 Classroom in a Book" in April from Adobe Press, "The Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers" by Scott Kelby in May, and "Real World Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS3" by Bruce Fraser and Jeff Schewe in the fall.

"Nighttime Digital Photography with Adobe Photoshop CS3" by John Carucci and "The Designer's Apprentice: Automating Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign in Adobe Creative Suite 3" by Rick Ralston will be released in July.

Peachpit Press has also launched an Adobe CS3 Resource Center featuring videos from Russel Brown on topics like Converting Color Images to Black and White with Photoshop CS3 and Making a Slide Show with Sound in Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended. Articles include "What's New in Adobe Camera Raw 4.0," by Jon Canfield, "Retouching Portraits with Smart Filters in Adobe Photoshop CS3" and "Top 10 Photoshop CS3 Features for Easing Your Workflow," both by Dave Cross.

Wiley released "Photoshop CS3 for Dummies" by Peter Bauer in April, and "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Workflow" by Tim Grey came out from Wiley's Sybex imprint.

Wiley will release "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for Digital Photographers Only" by Rob Sheppard, "Photoshop CS3 Channels and Masks Bible" by Stephen Romaniello, "Photoshop CS3 Workflow: The Digital Photographer's Guide" by Tim Grey, and "Photoshop CS3 for Nature Photographers" by Ellen Anon and Tim Grey in May.

Other upcoming Wiley titles include "Teach Yourself Visually Photoshop CS3" by Michael Wooldridge and Linda Wooldridge, and "Photoshop CS3 All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies" by Barbara Obermeier in June. "Photoshop CS3 for Forensics Professionals" by George Reis, "Mastering Photoshop CS3 for Print Design and Production" by Tel LoCascio, and "Photoshop CS3 Bible" by Laurie Ulrich Fuller will be released in July.
