TetherGRIP Pro Secures Cables and Connections
Press Release—A new cable management device called TetherGRIP Pro is designed to support the cables of your tethered camera system, thus alleviating stress on the camera’s ports. Not limited just to digital cameras, TetherGrip has benefits for film camera users as well. TetherGRIP can be used for PC/sync cords, remote release cables, and camera power supplies.
The device’s camera-side quick-release connector loops through the camera’s L-bracket, D-ring or hand/neck strap mount, while the adjustable grip holds cables in position. It offers a refined and portable solution ideal for on-location carts, studio editing suites and laptop-to-camera tethers.

“As a professional photographer, I’ve found that cable disconnections are one of the chief frustrations studio photographers face in working with tethered camera systems,” said John Luke, creator of the new TetherGRIP Pro product. “My intention is to help photographers increase their efficiencies and productivity by offering a cable manager that holds cables in place and minimizes the potential for disconnection,” he said.
“TetherGRIP Pro is a simple and professional solution for tethering camera equipment. No more jury-rigging with gaffers tape and no more broken firewire ports,” said Kendall McMinimy, a rights-managed photographer with Getty Images.
TetherGRIP Pro was created by John Luke, dba Brickhaus, LLC. Luke, an ASMP member, is a graduate of Brooks Institute, and has been a commercial photographer for 25 years. His client roster includes such industry leaders as Square D, Kohler Co., General Electric and Kimberly-Clark Corp. TetherGRIP Pro is presently available through professional camera retailers Brightscreen and Badger Graphic Sales.
