Press Release—The National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), founders of the Photoshop Hall of Fame, is proud to announce that Eddie Tapp, Jeff Schewe and John Paul Caponigro—three prominent leaders in Photoshop and digital photography—will be inducted into the 2006 Photoshop Hall of Fame. Their official induction takes place during a special ceremony at the upcoming Photoshop World Conference & Expo at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Sept. 7th.
The Photoshop Hall of Fame, formed by NAPP in 2000 and sponsored this year by iStockPhoto, honors and recognizes photographers, educators, artists and visionaries who have pushed Photoshop to new heights.
Eddie Tapp is an award-winning photographer, lecturer, consultant and author on digital imaging issues. As an award-winning photographer with over 20 years of experience in computer technology, Eddie has been actively involved in educating and consulting with corporations, studios, and agencies in the applications of digital imaging workflow, color management, pre-press, and digital photography globally.
Jeff Schewe is an advertising photographer, a consultant to Adobe, a regular speaker at conferences and tradeshows, and a Canon Explorer of Light recipient. He teaches an advanced course in digital imaging at Santa Fe Photography Workshops. His photographic specialty is photographic image montages where he does his own model making and special effects rigging.
John Paul Caponigro is a prominent digital media artist and an authority on creativity and fine digital printing with exhibits in numerous private and public collections. He is a contributing editor for Camera Arts and View Camera and a columnist for PhotoTechniques, Digital Photo Pro, and Apple.com. Additionally, John Paul is one Canon's Explorers of Light and an Epson’s Stylus Pro. His clients include Adobe, Apple, Canon, Colorbyte, Epson, Gretag-MacBeth, LowePro, Kodak, and Sony.
