I see a lot of video producers writing blog posts and telling clients that video SEO is about getting as many views as possible for your video and racking them up on YouTube. That's well and good, but it isn't SEO. SEO stands for search engine optimization. It's about optimizing search engine results for the people searching and for the sites being searched. You want the right people to find you and your business via organic search results. Getting lots of views may be a good ego boost, and it definitely can help with brand recognition, but it doesn't necessarily translate into good SEO. Are those views leading people to your site? Are they converting into business?
